First….a message from your departing President, Jimmy Hart, departing Vice President Andrea Dorman and myself, your departing Secretary:….
“ Thank you all for allowing us to represent the Richmond Rockets as your board members for 2017. While I, Darlene, have been a member for close to 10 years, Andrea and Jimmy have been members for over 20 years. That alone is a wonderful testament to how dedicated and loyal we all are to the Richmond Rockets. We sincerely wish our new officers much success and we will be available for any guidance and help along the way. It is a lot of work being an officer, and in order to be successful you need everyone’s help. We have all learned a lot along the way, and we encourage every Rocket to become more involved and help this running club reach its full potential. Power in numbers! We are all looking forward to see what 2018 brings! Go Rockets!”

Thank you Monica & John Leide, Joanne Rosiello, Jimmy Hart, Andrea Dorman, Ray Butler, Nancy Wagner Wetzel, Bozena, Frank Guarino, Darlene Vigliotti and Trish Mulligan. There were 209 entries and even though the rain did stop, the winds made for a very challenging race. Way to go Rockets! Cosme donated $500.00 toward our scholarship fund for scoring this race.
Runner of the Month for November: We would like to celebrate the three Richmond Rocket members that ran their first NYC Marathon…Congrats to Theresa Notaristefano, Jennifer Endozo, and Kyle Keenan. Way to go!
Remember, you can nominate someone you feel deserves to be recognized each month. It doesn’t have to be someone that ran a marathon, it could any Rocket that is giving it their all and trying their best. Nominations can be sent to any officer during the month or at the monthly meetings.
Birthday Celebrations: We wished a very Happy December Birthday to Lisa Lubarsky, Andrea Dorman, Jenn Mariano-Gregorio and Richie Chin!
In closing, remember, this is your club. Get involved, volunteer, come to meetings, support your officers, invite friends….Let us make 2018 Great!
