The Richmond Rockets 2020 Virtual 16th Annual Halloween 5K Run - Saturday 10/24: 9AM EST - Saturday 10/31: 5PM EST
Don't miss out on our upcoming fun and festive event: The Richmond Rockets Virtual 16th Annual Halloween 5K Run! Held on Saturday, October 24 - Saturday October 31, get your 5K run in at your own pace in various SI Park locations such as: Clove Lakes, Silver Lakes, South Beach/Midland Beach Boardwalk, etc. Volunteers will be set-up at each park for water and prizes. PRIZES will be given out for "Fastest Pace" and "Best Halloween Costume!" Registration fee is $25.00 per person. ALL PROCEEDS of the event will be donated towards the Richmond Rockets Scholarship Fund.
-All participants must send a screenshot of their pace (ex. Strava app) or email with their 5k pace time, age, and gender. We love our community and trust the pace time you send us! :)
-All participants who would like to enter in our "Best Costume" contest, must submit a photo and email for consideration. All photos will be posted onto our social media sites and website for promotion and results - IF YOU DO NOT WANT YOUR PHOTO POSTED, PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT STATING SO.
SIAC: The 2020 Muche Struck Veteran's Day Virtual 5K Run & Walk, SAT 11/7 - WED 11/11
Join the Staten Island Running Association (SIAC) for their support to the Vet's of Staten Island!
With the cancellation of so many running events due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Staten Island Running Association (SIRA) wants to do more to help support and encourage youth and community running in Staten Island.
SIRA will host the 2020 Muche Struck Veterans Day Virtual 5K Run & Walk.
Founded by local sportsmen Fred Muche and Bill Struck, the Muche Struck Veterans Day Run, now led by Race Director Tommy Hart, is one of Staten Island's oldest races.
The net proceed of this event will benefit
Veterans of the Battle of the Bulge
Louise W. Murphy Gold Star Mother Scholarship
Vietnam Veterans of America Thomas J. Tori Chapter 421
Runners and walkers can choose their level of support:
$15: receive a commemorative bib
$30: receive custom printed running gloves and commemorative bib
$75: running gloves, bib, and sponsorship (includes your name or logo on the SIRA website)
Donation: If you're unable to run or walk with us but still want to donate, we appreciate your support!
Once you run or walk your 5K between November 7 and November 11, you'll be able to post your finisher time and see all finisher results.

Triple Crown Updates: SSG Michael Ollis 5K Run & 2-Mile Walk Virtual Race Only
Important Race Update: The beloved SI SSG Michael Ollis 5K Run & 2-Mile Walk has announced it is now CANCELLED, however there will be a VIRTUAL RUN taken place. Please view all details below and sign up for the Virtual run here at:
-The 2021 SSG Michael Ollis 5K Run & 2-Mile Walk will be taken place on on Sunday, June 13, 2021.
-Though the race is cancelled, there will be a Virtual Run for this year's event.
Here are the options for race registrants:
*Defer your current registration to next year's event. Any decision to defer must be made by October 31, 2020.
*Change your registration for 2020's event to the Virtual Run option. Packet pickup will be communicated at a later time.
*Request a refund for your registration.
*Donate you 2020 registration fee to the SSG Michael Ollis Freedom Foundation
We greatly appreciate your commitment and generosity towards the Foundation and look forward to seeing you all on June 13, 2021.
Donate Your Old Sneakers to Feed Families - South Brooklyn Mutual Aid
The Richmond Rockets will be participating in the My Sneaker Drive Fundraiser to help feed families in NYC. By donating a pair of old sneakers that are in good non-ripped condition, you give $1 to the organization in aid to send care packages for those in need.
