President Toby Biegel and V.P. Lisa Lubarsky introduced Guest Speaker Bill Allert,new President of SITRAC,Bill gave an inspiring speech about the mission of SITRAC as an umbrella advocacy group for the running community.They are involved in sponsoring the Triple Crown races and The Triple Crown Awards Dinner .They promote youth track and field.They may be looking to partner with volunteers from running clubs to enhance a program with Ocean Breeze to help put on community events with kids from local schools participating track and field events.He also spoke about big improvements coming to the Clove Lake 5k Trail Course starting in the near future.He was well received and informatve!

Treasurer Nancy reported the Holiday Party was a great time and brought in 283.00 to the Scholarship Fund! Scholarship Fund stands at $3912.00 currently and the Checking Account is at $3029.00 used for donations and general expenses A motion was passed to donate $300.00 for sponsorship of The Tommy Hart Super Hero Run 5K,our club name will be on shirts

A motion also passed to donate $200.00 to John Chan`s Team With a Vision for his Boston Marathon 2018 Run

A vote was taken on bylaw revisions,passed unanimously

3 New Logos were unveiled for becoming the club`s new official logo,they will be put on Rocket Facebook page for a vote in near future

Scholarship Applications were due back 3/1/2018 Joann Rosiello said she received 4 by mail and Trish said she has 1 for a grand total of 5 nominations.The Scholarship Committee will meet at Joann`s house on 3/29

Tommy Hart has qualified for and will be competing in The Duathlon Nationals in Greenville,S.C. in April Way to Go Tommy!
